Pre-sale termsHow long does it take to receive my order?
After the pre-sale closes, your order goes into production. Our team cuts, sews, and quality-checks every garment individually. Allow 25 working days from the close of the pre-sale for your order to be dispatched. We'll keep you updated along the way!
Can I order pre-sale and in-stock pieces together?
Yes. Orders with both pre-sale and in-stock pieces are shipped together as one parcel, once your pre-sale pieces are made.
How much is shipping?
At Empress all our parcels are sent via AusPost Express.
Free Express Shipping on all AUS/NZ orders over $150 AUD. Express Shipping under $150 AUS/NZ is $8.95 AUD.
Free International Express Shipping for all orders over $150 AUD. International Express Shipping under $150 is $8.95 AUD (US $15.00).

Can I cancel or change my order after the pre-sale closes?
Unfortunately, not, because your garment is made specifically for you after the pre-sale closes, we're unable to accommodate changes or cancellations once the window ends. Please check our sizing guide carefully before ordering, and reach out via our Contact page if you have any questions before you purchase.
Can I return it?
Returns are made to be easy at Empress! Just follow the prompts in the returns portal within 30 days from receiving your order.

When does the pre-sale open and close?
The pre-sale opens on the first Wednesday of every month at 9 AM AEST. There is no fixed closing time - the pre-sale closes the moment all available fabric has been allocated to orders. That could be a few days, or it could be a few hours. We've sold out in as little as 59 minutes. Once the fabric is gone, it's gone - no exceptions, no restocks.
Will it come back if I miss it?
Short answer: no 🫣
Long answer: also no… but you can vote for it in the Empress Museum and hope it makes a comeback in a new way.
But the original? That moment? That's a one-time thing.
Can I request a custom fit or alteration?
Yes - because we make everything in-house, we can sometimes accommodate custom fit requests. This is an exclusive, case-by-case service. Head to our Contact Us page to enquire before or during the pre-sale window. Not all requests can be accommodated, but we always try our best!
