Every single Empress print starts with Ella Webb — our in-house artist and founding member of the Empress dream team, who's been with us since day one in 2021.
No templates. No repeats. No "kind of similar next month."
Each print is drawn from scratch on her iPad, once… and that's it. So when you wear it, you're not just wearing activewear. You're wearing something almost no one else will ever own.
And that's the whole point 😏
We also do things differently when it comes to how the print is made. We use sublimation printing onto a colour-matched fabric base — not white like most printed activewear. When fabric printed on white stretches, little white gaps appear and the print starts to fade and crack. Ours? The design is bonded into the fabric base itself — so the colours stay vivid, the print never distorts, and it looks just as good after 100 washes as the day it arrived.
✦ Where does the inspiration come from?
Every print is a team effort. The whole Empress dream team throws ideas into the pot — colours, themes, vibes, community suggestions from our Facebook group. Once the concept is locked in, Ella takes those ideas and works her magic. It's a proper collaboration. And it shows.

The pre-sale opens on the first Wednesday of every month at 9 AM AEST. There is no fixed closing time - the pre-sale closes the moment all available fabric has been allocated to orders. That could be a few days, or it could be a few hours. We've sold out in as little as 59 minutes. Once the fabric is gone, it's gone - no exceptions, no restocks.
Each month we have a limited amount of fabric available, and once every metre has been allocated to orders, we close immediately. There's no set closing day. Our fastest ever sellout was 59 minutes. We intentionally keep production capped; it's how we maintain our quality and keep every piece feeling exclusive. Set an alarm for 9 AM on drop day!
After the pre-sale closes, your order goes into production. Our team cuts, sews, and quality-checks every garment individually. Allow 25 working days from the close of the pre-sale for your order to be dispatched. We'll keep you updated along the way!
The Active collection focuses on performance activewear, leggings, crops, shorts, tennis dresses and more. The Luxe collection is all about elevated loungewear, sleepwear, yoga and lifestyle pieces. We alternate between them each month, so there's always something for a different part of your life.

Yes - because we make everything in-house, we can sometimes accommodate custom fit requests. This is an exclusive, case-by-case service. Head to our Contact Us page to enquire before or during the pre-sale window. Not all requests can be accommodated, but we always try our best!
