Minimal tummy support, even if sized down

I'm disappointed in these tights for the price paid. The fabric is quite thin, which means you can see your underwear line when wearing standard undies, and the ability to provide tummy support is limited. Based on my measurements I should have gotten a size L, but I sized down, and the tummy support is still lacking. Because of the thin fabric the top of the tights roll down - which tells me I should have gotten an L, however, if I did, it would have provided even less support than the M.
I have an 'apple' body shape which never gets advertised in workout gear so it's always quite hard for me to find clothes. I'm generally a size 16, 162cm/5'2, 98cm waist, 110 bust, 110 hips. I've already worn them to give them a chance, so I can't return. I hope this review helps out others.
These tights would probably be lovely on hourglass or straight shaped body types with low-medium tummy fat support required.
The positives? The pockets are great, deep, the phone doesn't fall out when walking or cycling. Fabric is smooth, design stitching is nice.
P.s. it would be great if reviews included the ability to add your body type/measurements for others to read to determine if suitable for them (similar to how MECCA allows you to add your skin shade/type for makeup reviews).
